Project Name:
50-Meter Steel-Concrete Composite Bridge Project in the Philippines
Project Information:
Project Type: Steel-Concrete Composite Bridge
Location: Philippines
Total Length: 50 meters
Height: 2.6 meters
Steel Plate Thickness: 32 mm
Structure Type: Steel-concrete composite girder system
Coating: Heavy-duty anti-corrosion paint suitable for tropical and coastal climates
Requirements:
The client needed a high-strength bridge structure capable of supporting heavy transportation loads under tropical climate conditions in the Philippines. Main requirements included:
· A 50-meter span for road and cargo transport.
· High load-bearing capacity with stable structural performance.
· Corrosion resistance suitable for humid and coastal environments.
· Low maintenance and long service life.
Solution:
Liyou designed and fabricated a steel–concrete composite bridge featuring a concrete steel decking system, combining the tensile strength of structural steel with the compressive strength of reinforced concrete to achieve superior stability, durability, and load performance.
Key engineering features included:
· Use of 32mm thick steel plates for the concrete steel decking and main girders, ensuring high load-bearing capacity for road and cargo transport.
· Application of anti-corrosion coating systems to resist environmental degradation.
· Modular fabrication and sectional assembly for faster installation and precise alignment.
· Optimization of the girder system design to enhance long-span performance.
The bridge met all structural and environmental requirements, delivering a durable and cost-effective infrastructure solution for the client.
