Project Name:
Steel Structure Barn Project – Canada
This project is a custom-designed steel-framed barn located in Canada, tailored to meet agricultural storage needs while withstanding local climatic conditions. The building measures 24.23m × 30.48m, with a total height of 6.71 meters, including a 0.76-meter-high concrete perimeter wall. The barn covers a floor area of approximately 738.53.
Key Parameters:
Snow Load: 2.5 kN/㎡
Wind Load: 0.4 kN/㎡
Total Steel Usage: Approx. 40 metric tons
Roof and Wall Cladding: Aluminum-zinc coated metal sheets
Structural Highlights:
The barn adopts a rigid portal frame system with H-section steel columns and rafters, ensuring structural strength and durability for long-term agricultural use.
Bracing systems and tie rods are integrated throughout the structure to enhance lateral stability and wind resistance.
The cladding is made of corrosion-resistant aluminum-zinc panels, offering excellent protection and a clean, modern finish.
The structural detailing and modeling were completed in Tekla Structures, ensuring accurate fabrication, efficient material use, and high-quality erection on site.
This barn provides an ideal solution for agricultural storage, combining robust design, low maintenance, and adaptability to harsh environmental conditions in rural Canada.
